We have
been arguing with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners over their
stupid decision to close the complaint
with no action being taken against the
clinic. So Far.
See their letter to us here. But
it's not over yet.

October 17,
2026.
We are in shock. We picked up a copy of the
Garland Police Report on the case we
filed
against Club Hill. In this report it states the Detective contacted the Clinic for their statement of the events on
the day Joey died at their
clinic. It is not the Doctor
who spoke to the Detective, but the
'Practice Manager', Lizbeth. She states that to perform the nail trim she had 1
tech
holding Joey's front legs down,
and another tech holding down his back
legs while she cuts his nails. Right there says a
lot. She is not licensed to do anything to the animals
herself. She also claimed that Joey bit
her during
the procedure which I don't doubt with all the pain they were causing him from the excessive cutting his nails. This is also the first I have heard of him biting anyone that day. And that
during the procedure Joey just collapsed. And that when this happened they started CPR on him. None of this adds up. It does back-up the theory that he was held down with excessive
force. We are now demanding a full detailed list of events from his records which they are required to document
everything that happened that day along with his full medical record file.
When we went up to the clinic a couple of days after Joey died asking for a
full explanation of what happened, Dr. Atwal was too busy to talk to us, even
though no one else was at the clinic, and Lizbeth came out to talk to
us. She never said anything about
Joey biting her or that three people were involved in his nail
trim. This makes it all that much more
worse. Three people and no one
had the balls to say to the other two that they
were harming this dog and to stop. If Joey was too much to handle that day the proper
thing to do would be bring him back to us and tell us they
could not safely
trim his nails.
